Lesson seven: Twisted Textile Samples

I really enjoyed this lesson, I used the photographs of my mood boards in my sketch book to inspire my samples. I have played with a number of techniques, I have played with a lot of platting, pressing, hand sewing and free hand embroidery, both in class and at home.

The only thing here I was struggling with was the fact that all my samples have a really messy feeling to them, as when working to the word twisted, I was platting and twisting most of the fabric, so I think when I develop this further I will, look into creating samples that have a more refined finish.
